Yes, we have trucks in Ararat!
Big trucks.
Usually carrying something agricultural:
animals, timber, giant water tanks, etc
Mainly, they are just passing through.
This one is probably headed north-west, where the drought is being very unkind to farmers.
I'm sure it wasn't on purpose, but I'm impressed by his colourful selection of orange straps to contrast with the jaunty blue of his cabin.

I enjoyed the colour coordination too! What does the coat-of-arms on the top of the pub signify?
ReplyDeleteMum
Mum, you're not supposed to sign "Mum"!
ReplyDeleteCoat of Arms = really good beer here?

I am looking forward to this new blog!!

Yes, the colours give the truck a real zing! I love this photo. What a great concept - a daily photo from places all around the globe.

CARLENE - I haven't met all 8000 of them yet!
ReplyDeleteISABELLA - Bigger is better, right?
Maybe not.
Seems most people know most people.
We, however are blow-ins and are yet to become "tribal".
SONIA - one of many big trucks!
JELLYHEAD - 'tis a great concept, isn't it? Looking at people's daily lives the world over.
This is a strong beginning!!!!

ReplyDeleteIsn't fun when one wizzes past you on an Ozzie country road? You get that weeee all over the place funny swaying feeling.
Just love your drain today!!!!!!! It's sooo sweeet.
please change the font colour you use to display the comments - I cannot read it unless I run my mouse over it to highlight it.
ReplyDeleteAbout 10% of the male population of the world has a degree of red-green colour blindness which makes certain combinations of colours difficult to distinguish between. You appear to have chosen such a combination.
CHUCKEROON - oh - for a minute there I thought you were talking about the stock trucks that shoot past - little bits of excrement flying off left and right. Nice.
ReplyDeleteHYDE DP - thanks for the tip. I'll keep it in mind.
ReplyDeleteHYDE DP - I couldn't see the comments either and I'm not colour blind!
ReplyDeleteI had black text on a black background.
It's fixed now.
Thanks for pointing it out!
