I went to an auctiony thing today at the local Uniting Church.
I saw this pot plant stand I really liked and I won the hot, hot bidding.
But I got all this other stuff as well - a grease gun, a grinding wheel, a christmas tree stand, some bbq tools, a tv cabinet, a table frame with wheels, some old anodized cups, a drawer(!?!) and one of those whirlpool brush wash the car things - I think that's everything - all for $7.
I got lots of fabulous treasures inside the church hall at the stalls, too!

Auctions are lots of fun, aren't they. I like them. This is a nice photograph too.
ReplyDeleteI hope your acquisitions were a "success" and you get years of loving use out of them. But I really like the photo - its almost like a stage play gone wrong where everyone's attention has gone in completely different directions at the same time
ReplyDeleteABRAHAM - It was my first one!
ReplyDeleteI'm kicking myself now that I didn't snap up a few more bargains.
RICHARD - oh yeah - that grease gun is going to come in handy!!
ReplyDeleteI dunno what those blokes were looking at...
I like the fella with the clipboard - he was very efficient.
Maybe you can sell the other stuff and make your money back.
ReplyDeleteKEN - I'm already working on it!
ReplyDeleteGood old ebay!
You gotta love auctions.
ReplyDeleteAll of that for $7? Wow!
ReplyDeleteI hope that you’ve some space for all of that!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been in an auctions before... I would like to see one!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! You got the atmosphere!
Have a nice weekend!
Thinking of you, Letty. I hope you're on vacation or enjoying your auction treasures.
ReplyDeleteHaving trouble keeping up with your blogs m'dear - it's almost like trying to follow a money laundering trail. I couldn't leave a comment on that "wild abandoned one" 'cos it only likes blogger people or OpenID but I really liked the glowing picture of the shack
