Once Was....


Formerly Ararat's Town Hall
now the Performing Arts Centre
and it also houses the Ararat Art Gallery.

  3. Andrew - there's a lot of civic pride in Ararat - without it being all fancified and gentrified like some country towns.
    It's one of the things that immediately attracted us when we accidentally moved here 3 years ago.

  4. Sonia - We have some lovely buildings in Ararat - like most towns built on the goldrush.
    We recently had a big new police station built between 2 beautiful old buildings and everyone held their breath waiting for some hideous modern thing.
    But surprise surprise even though it is modern - it's a very sympathetic design.

  8. this is not daily(ish) Lettys, not even monthy(ish) looks like this is yearly(ish). i don't even remember what blogs i have. i forgot the long in names passwords. My main blog is nearly dead. i think i had six blogs. Many test blogs where i experiment with different templates without knowing HTML or HMTL. i have goofed on few of them. Now i realise i don't want to write, don't like posting pictures. i just want to play with them when i have nothing else to do.
