Theme Day - Water (or lack thereof)

It IS so water!
It's a bit brown but it's definitely wet!
Drought conditions prevail in north-west Victoria.

Windmills

I really love these wind turbines - they seem so whimsical.
Like giant landscape sculptures.
These are just outside of Ararat - east.
Their website blurb says they generate enough electricity for 26,000 homes thus avoiding the emission of 180,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas each year.
That's pretty good, right?

Dry as Chips

While most of the east coast of Australia struggles with heavy rain and floods, it continues to remain dry in our region.
But that is generally the pattern in Victoria - dry in Summer, wet in Winter.
Fingers crossed we get some good falls in the cooler months.
