Here in the mountains we still have quite a lot of dirt tracks once you get a block or two beyond the highway but they are getting progressively paved. We are becoming more and more suburban every day.
This is a wonderful shot, the light, the colour, the composition, the subject matter. Beautiful.
Joan Elizabeth - I do NOW but before I lived in the city - in the 'burbs, in fact. It just wasn't me but at least I gave it a crack. Thanks you for the lovely compliments - I suspect I've been channelling some of your photos into this photo.
I agree - there is something about country town scapes - there are a few suburban spots like that around me, but they are fading fast - even front grass is disappearing under paving. I hate all those hard surfaces.
Hey cuzz! I'm back in blogspot world. As usual I LOVE your photo's. You've really inspired me to get into the camera-taking-with-me-whereever-i-go world.
Olá amigos! Tens um espaço muito bonito com belas fotos, porém seria melhor se colocasses um tradutor, pois ficaria mais fácil para entender e comentar.
Oh, yes. This is just right! The colour of the rust and the general higgeldy-piggeldy-ness of the laneway.
ReplyDeleteI hope it can remain like that for considerably longer too.
The morning light here is gorgeous.
Oh wow, you live in a place like this, fantastic.

ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with you - how nice to have landscapes and townscapes that aren't all homogenized.
I also like the color of the fence and the street!
ReplyDeletePS: I think you will like to know that I return to my blog Leaves of Grass.
It's perfect just the way it is.
ReplyDeleteAny beautification would ruin its character.
Isn't it glorious? What a lovely photo you've taken.
ReplyDeleteJulie - yes, it is the higgeldy-piggeldyness of daggy country towns that I love.

Thanks Ruth - it's amazing how daggy everything is once you get out of the cities (just how I like it!)
ReplyDeleteSonia, so glad you returned to Leaves of Grass!
ReplyDeleteJayne - yeah and you can always tell it's the country when there is a Pepperina tree in the photo.
ReplyDeleteJelly - where you been???
ReplyDeleteIt looks pretty fancy to me.
