Morning Meeting (on holiday)
Poor neglected Ararat Daily Photo blog.
Encroaching on BitingMidge's territory on the Sunshine Coast.
I'm sure he won't mind for a week or two.
(or maybe he does - I think he has sent the word out to his kin - coz I seem to be COVERED in midgey bites - I'm talking the soles of my feet, behind my ears and smack dab right in the middle of my forehead - very attractive!).
Anyway, early morning walk along the Noosa River.
The old dudes will mow you down if you dawdle - don't worry about the kids on their scooters!
It's a geriatric highway in the morning!
Isn't the difference in grass colour of this photo to my previous photo amazing?
2000km exists between these two points!

The difference between grass colours was what struck me the most when I went to Melbourne in January but your two posts ram the point home!
ReplyDeletePeter is off on hols at the moment so the midgies are probably just confoosed ...
That grass is unnatural, I tells ya !
ReplyDeleteCan't remember seeing lawn like that here in Melb for many a long day....
Julie - that's my nephew in the photo - can you believe the midges bit him in the belly button?!
ReplyDeleteJayne - must be all that weird rain stuff they have around here.
ReplyDeleteYeah, so your grass turns green in the winter I'm thinking? Less dryness and all. Beautiful colors in this photo, makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteI hope I'm mowing someone down when I'm a senior. Sounds fun.
Ruth - I suppose they have to move fast or that grass would grow right over the top of them!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I've always assumed Biting Midge as a female, but don't know why...
ReplyDeleteGreat photo, i just love the dogs
ReplyDeleteKris - that requires further thought.
ReplyDeleteBrett - not much changes in 10000 years, does it?
ReplyDeleteWe still love our dogs.
Hi Letitia! Sorry for the absence! It has been hard to get some free time... ;)
ReplyDeleteAmazing shot!!
Now, «The Masterpiece» waits you and your comments at Blogtrotter. You shouldn’t miss it, believe me... ;). Enjoy and have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteSting - that's not you in the photo, is it??!!
ReplyDeleteI DID enjoy my stay - I've been going to the Sunshine Coast for holidays since I was a baby.
And my mother has been going there since she was a small child.
It sure has changed!!
