I think when it comes time to shuffle off this mortal coil, this will be my first choice of resting place.
It's up on the hill with views of the countryside all around.
Though, I'll probably have to rig up some type of periscope arrangement.

Now that is the perfect final resting place...the roses are so beautiful and such a tribute to loved ones.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful, and dramatic. Thanks for visiting me on Skywatch Friday.
ReplyDeleteSydney Daily Photo
Oooooooooo preeeeeetty!
ReplyDeleteI suppose there's no hope of building a house just to the right of that spot...?
Nope, didn't think so ;)
I can just see you operating the periscope ...
ReplyDeleteWhen I was young I used to read westerns like Zane Gray and stuff. They always had Boot Hill.
Your Boot Hill still looks a little dry. Actually it has the colouring of a Green Parrot.
Stark, dead, grey trees are not bad ...
Excellent picture. That's how I imagine Heathcliff's resting place...
ReplyDeleteThis is an incrdible image.
ReplyDeleteHope - there's a little baby girl buried under that rose - Alice.
ReplyDeleteAnd the headstone is for a 16 year old girl called Euphemia.
SALLY - yeah - there's that amazing tree in the background that looks like it's been split and two and killed, but it's resprouted!
ReplyDeleteJayne - maybe to the right but not further down the hill. The cemetery overlooks the old gold digging fields. Lots of little holes and lumps.
ReplyDeleteJULIE - whaddya mean "dry"???
ReplyDeleteWhy, we are positively LUSH, at the moment!
Thanks Greg.
ReplyDeleteYou can't take a bad photo there.
And your right, it would be perfect for Heathcliff - it has a wild, isolated, wind-swept feel to it.
oh - grammar error above - please read: you're
ReplyDeleteThanks Babooshie - it was beautiful there last month, too - the lilac was in bloom.
ReplyDeleteI like the concentration upon grammar ... after mine own heart!
ReplyDeleteExcuse me, where are you?
ReplyDeleteEverything okay?
Julie, I'm here!!
ReplyDeleteEverything's okay!
Just having trouble taking a half interesting photo!
Phew!
ReplyDeleteOkay young lady ... you are forgiven ...
Julie - I'll just have to try harder to find something blogworthy.
ReplyDeleteAlthough, there is always a little bit of action over at my other blog - poof, and it's gone.
... almond parfait, poached rhubarb and licorice ... *really* ...
ReplyDeleteAhh, its been a while since I was last here, and I've missed your words and pics!
ReplyDeletePeriscope indeed!
Sunshine Coast Daily - Australia
Your print is exactly the same colour as the roses...beautiful photo.
ReplyDeleteHi Letitia! It’s always great when I have a chance to get here, but this time I feel it a bit weird... At least there is a nice view, we may assume... ;))!
ReplyDeleteNow, interested in Tunisia? Blogtrotter has it! ;)) Hope you enjoy! Have a great week!
Julie - I know.
ReplyDeleteSounds a bit wanky, right?
But it was de-lic-ious!
bitingmidge - got my first mosquito bite of the season yesterday. It didn't even try to do it sneakily - it did it right on the front of my arm!
ReplyDeleteAngela - thanks! They were a lovely splodge of colour in a fairly brown landscape.
ReplyDeleteGil - don't feel weird!
ReplyDeleteThat's where we are all headed.
Worm food.
Oh yeah - okay - now I feel a bit weird.
I like the periscope idea! The roses are of an exceptional color - I thought they were camelias at first. G'd day!
